can I use the images provided by videoscribe just for making videos or can I also use them for commercial / non-commercial other purposes.

The images in the VideoScribe image library can only be used for creating scribe videos in VideoScribe. They cannot be used for any other purpose. See section 3.8 of the VideoScribe App licence and user terms.
