Hi

I just got Videoscribe it seems pretty simple but it keeps grouping my items together when i try move them when I want them separate. Am I missing something or a button I'm not checking?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but this is how you can control the placement of images:

when you import an image, videoscribe places it approximately in the middle of the visible canvas.

If you want to move to a different part of the canvas before adding a new image, click and drag an empty spot on the canvas to move the canvas and everything on it (also sometimes called "moving the camera"). Note: if you click within the bounding rectangle of an image, you may move the individual image instead of the canvas.

if you want to  move one selected image away from other images, click and drag the image.

when you have the selected image where you want it, and the camera is positioned the way you want it, click the "set camera" icon in the lower right corner to save that camera position for the selected image.

Sounds like you are having an issue that I experienced in the past. I had a number of items close to or overlapping each other and it was difficult to select the one I wanted to move. Kept selecting and moving the wrong one.

For me, the solution was to hide the elements that I did NOT want to select first, by clicking the eye icon in the timeline for each.

Then it was easy to grab and move the item that I wanted to.

Apologies if that is not what you were talking about.

Another solution would to be to select the item from the timeline rather than the canvas to be sure the right one is selected. Can then use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move it away from the bunch. Once it's on it's own should be easy enough to pick it up with the mouse.
