Resizing the videoscribe to reduce the file size

We created a video which is 80mb in file size, we would like to reduce the file size down to 25mb as we would like to send it to email address's and we would like to keep the same quality for the video.

I'd recommend uploading it to youtube and embedding the youtube thumbnail image as a link in your email.

Unless you are specifically sending it to someone who does not mind large file attachments, a 25MB attachment might be seen as rude.

but yes, you can
1) resize the project to smaller height and width in videoscribe to reduce file size
2) possibly choose a different file format with a smaller file size (WMV>MOV>MP4)
3) publish to shoco and download as an mp4 to see if that is smaller
4) use video editing software to re-encode the video with a smaller file size

Hi Mike

I can't find tabs or tools that will allow me to change the height and width of the project.  Can you give some guidance on step 1?

Jeff

Hi Jeff
I don't know if you are a free user but I believe that free users cannot adjust their video dimensions in videoscribe.

Users with an active subscription can choose from a number of video sizes from 360p to 1080p (1920x1080 HD) I think.

The render resolution (Size) options are available when you go to render your scribe as a video file. AVI and WMV take longer to render but produce smaller files than MOV.
