Question regarding blinking text

With Videoscribe for window 2.3 I was able to make text appear blinking by creating a text box then a blank space then the same text again with half second pauses giving the appearance that the text blinks. In Videoscribe 2.3.6 it seems to ignore several of these Animations making the text appear then disappear for 1.5 seconds and then reappear.

Is this a bug with 2.3.6 or am I doing something wrong or is there better way to make text appear to blink?

I believe there is a bug in versions 2.3.3 through 2.3.6 (not completely sure about the version numbers) that messes up the timing if you have two or more text elements in a row with zero second animation times.

current workarounds include:
1) revert to version 2.3 or
2) increase your animation time for those text elements to at least .1 seconds or
3) use an animated gif for blinking text

I will be happy to use 2.3 for Mac but cannot seem to find where or how  to download it or revert the current version to 2.3.0. Any suggestions?

It does not seem to be on the "see all versions" page: https://my.sparkol.com/versions

If you no longer have the install file on your computer,  you could raise a support ticket and ask customer support if they will provide it for you.

Instead of downgrading I would recommend the following workaround.

If a text element with a 0 second Animate time is followed by another element that has 0 second Animate time any pause and transition time are ignored for the first element on the rendered video. A workaround for now is to add 0.1 seconds to the Animate time and remove the hand of either element. A fix for this will be included in VideoScribe version 2.3.7.
