I have a scribe that is a little under 3 minutes. I submitted it over 2 hours ago and still waiting for it to be on sho.co.

I uploaded the same video to screencast around 60 seconds. 

Love the sho.co auto upload feature in the program but it should not take this long, should it?

sho.co puts your project file into a queue, renders it, and then posts the video online.

It sounds as though there are some problems with your project file that are either slowing down the rendering process or preventing it from finishing. You can save your project to the cloud and tell customer support the name of it if you want them to evaluate it.

Mike - thanks for the help. I checked out your link and I think my scribe is w/in your suggestions. At this point, the scribes are pretty basic so I'm not sure what may be causing this massive wait on sho.co only. If the same thing happened with screencast or youtube, then I would think something is up w/ my file. Both of those sites uploaded my scribe in under 1 minute.

Sho.co came in at 7 hours for this 3 minute scribe that I needed to get sent today. Luckily it was very quick through youtube.

Based on your 60 seconds youtube upload, and your use of the term screencast, I assume you are just videocapturing the "preview playback mode" in videoscribe and uploading the video to youtube. Is that correct? If that method provides a satisfactory result, then there is probably no reason to bother with further troubleshooting. Finished-quality video may not be noticeably better than videocaptured preview-quality video in some cases.

(Rendering finished-quality video either to your computer or on sho-co is typically a longer process than videocapturing, but it should still be less than an hour if your 3 minute project meets to the guidelines in the other thread. )

Mike - I tried to upload directly to sho.co through videoscribe. I like simple and easy if it works. 

Since that did not work, I downloaded the video in AVI format and then uploaded to youtube & screencast to compare. Both sites uploaded the scribe in under 1 minute. Sho.co came in at 7 hours... definitely unusable if that's the norm.

You seem to have some misconceptions, about a few terms and the way certain processes work, that I have not been able to clarify.

1) Rendering your video on sho.co is not the same type of process as just uploading a finished video to youtube. Rendering a video on sho.co should take approximately the same amount of time it takes for you to render a new AVI video in videoscribe on your own computer.

2) Your scribe probably needs corrections. There is a chance that there is simply a problem with sho.co.. but 7 hours is too long... as I said previously. I would expect it to be closer to one hour or less, unless the scribe contains problems. As a test, I rendered a 3 minute scribe on sho.co and it took about 36 minutes.

I realize that those notes may not help or you may understand them in a way that is different from my intended meaning.

If you would like help with your scribe. save it as a .scribe file and attach it here.

Or save your project to the cloud and tell customer support the name of it if you want their feedback.

Well at least it wasn't my imagination... here's the response from support today:

We did identify a large backlog and delayed rendering times on the sho.co renderer that have now been fixed. Hopefully this will not happen again and we apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.
