I have a subscription but still don't see the file icon to save this locally. How do you get this to save to my computer? Also your Instant Answer link is not working.

Select Publish which is the icon in the top right of the screen when you have your scribe open.
You can then select the icon on Create a Video screen that looks like a floppy disk and USB Flash Drive
This opens the Create a Video File window, the bottom box on which is a file path to the storage location. You can click on this to browse to a different location

in general, you don't make multiple videos and then join them...
This is what you should do: you open videoscribe, you start a new project you import one or more elements and arrange them on the canvas then you click and drag the "canvas" to move the "camera" to a blank part of the canvas then you add more elements and arrange them then you repeat the process of moving the canvas (or "camera") and adding more elements until you are finished then you save your project then you render/publish a video and everything is in one video
The tutorials and videos on the INSTANT ANSWERS page may explain the process more clearly you can also use a search on youtube or google to learn more about the process.
