Please add the ability to drag-select on the Canvas, so multiple items can be select with one click-n-drag. I realize this is possible on the timeline but proximity may differ between Timeline and Canvas. Also related to this: Having to click twice on a canvas item, before moving, is an awkward workflow and should be changed, in my opinion. It leads to accidental canvas panning.

Agree. And I confirm: it does lead to accidental canvas panning, time and time again.
