Yes.
I'd recommend that you watch the tutorial videos for basic usage instructions:

ctrl+click items in the timeline to select multiple elements on PC

cmd+click on the mac . if that doesn't work then set up your mouse to right-click. Related thread:

I'm on version 2.3.4 for Windows, running Windows 7.  It appears the multiple select is not working using control.  Is there a magic trick or is this no longer functionality?  I have closed and restarted multiple times.  

Disregard.  I guess the magic trick is post the question here.  After restarting a few more times, it works.  Weird.
