Can I publish under creative commons license?

Hello,

In my videoscribes I use music which s licensed under a creative commons license. So I have to publish my videos under creative commons license, too. Now my question is: is it possible to publish a videoscribe under cc-license?

Hi Rene,

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by CC-licence?

As a trial user you can render and publish videos. If you're using copyrighted material, you will have to check if you have the right to use that content with the copyright owner.

Please see our terms and conditions regarding any legal questions you may have about publishing.

Hi Rene,

If I understand your question, you want to import some music that has a CC license but the license requires you to share whatever content you create under the same license. So you have permission but only permission if you share alike?

I have a similar question.

I am a teacher. I want to put on my video a Creative Commons Licence - CC-BY-SA. However, my understanding from the Terms of Use is that while I can use the video personally, I do not have permission to licence my video in a way that allows for others to remix or adapt it.

i.e. if someone else wanted to screen capture a portion of my VideoScribe video to put into their own work, they would not be able to do this.

Joe is that correct?

Thanks so much,

Briar

A Creative Commons licence cannot be applied to a video created using VideoScribe.

Any videos produced with VideoScribe must be used in accordance with the VideoScribe software licence.

 Hi,

I am still not sure I understand correctly (English is not my mother tongue).

I am also a teacher and want to create videos for my students. I want to publish them on my youtube channel. I would very much like to put them on a Creative Commons License - By - non commerical - share alike unported. In my understanding others are not allowed to remix or adapt the videos if I do that.

I am a paid subscriber. Can I license my videos like that?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi Melanie,

Videos made with VideoScribe cannot be licenced under a Creative Commons licence.

Hey Joe,

Are you a Sparkol employee or a user? I would like to know whether I can license a video produced with Videoscribe under the CC BY-NC-ND licence. This means that the video may not be modified or used commercially and is therefore very limited in its further use. I would like to know what speaks against this license.

I received an Mail from Videoscribe that the licence CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 is possible! Could you Joe Clark pls confirm that?
