Saving to cloud issue

The icon keeps whirling but nothing muchis happening, I am having trouble saving to the cloud.

Tom

1 person has this question
1) Brand new user, or did it previously work fine and the problem just start happening with one scribe?
2) PC or Mac or other?
3) what videoscribe version number are you using?
4) can you save successfully as a local file?

If you are a new user, The symptom you described, sounds like what you would see if you tried to OPEN an online scribe when there are no files saved online.  Are you trying to open a scribe or are you trying to save a completed scribe that is already open?

It wasn't working for all of yesterday having previously worked fine. Now it has done it in ten seconds.

This sounds like I am not a competent user however I am an ICT professional and these constant glitches in this software suite is starting to really irk me.

Hi Tom,

Are you using the software in a place of work or school? If so then you may need to present the following information to your IT team.

Some offices and schools have network, security and permission restrictions that will affect the installation and use of new software. Please speak to your network administrator about the restrictions.

VideoScribe information for network administrators

Domains

To use VideoScribe you will need to be able to connect to the following domains either directly or via a proxy:

Subdomains of sparkol.com (e.g. www.sparkol.com) on port 80. In future we will also use port 443.sparkol-share.s3.amazonaws.com (port 80/443)s3.amazonaws.com (port 80/443)File save location

Users will need to be able to save files in the local AppData folder in: C:\Users\(user name)\AppData\Roaming

You will need to ensure that the users profile is configured to point to this folder location.

Other considerations

If you are using a proxy, please check if there are any limits on size of uploads as this may affect saving files online

In Windows, VideoScribe should use the proxy server settings from Internet Explorer

If you are able to connect to the relevant domains with Internet Explorer without having to enter credentials, VideoScribe should work

You may need to add the VideoScribe application as an exception on any antivirus or firewall software

An administrator may need to install VideoScribe

Ensure you’re using service pack 3 at least, if running VideoScribe on Windows XP

Minimum system requirements

Hello,

I'm having problems to move my videscribe to Mysparkol cloud, how can I save my videoscribe on the cloud? Please I really need this until saturday,

thank you,

Laura (user)

to save your work file to the cloud folder:
1) open your scribe project
2) click the save (diskette) icon near the upper left corner of the screen (in version 2.x). I assume it is in the same location in videoscribe 3.
3) on the save menu, click the cloud icon then name and save your project

(I pulled the above screenshot from a different answer thread so disregard the letter E and just look for the cloud icon)

If you are talking about rendering a video instead of saving a project file, rendering video does not involve the cloud folder.
