I usually use different stroke sizes too so I'm not sure if using all one size helps.
Or maybe using just even numbers like 2pt 4pt 6pt... I haven't really experimented with different things.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
When you import an image into VideoScribe (SVG, PNG,Jpeg) VideoScribe creates a bitmap layer over the image.
This in some cases can cause a shifting after the image is drawn depending on the image itself.
We have some recommended guidelines in creating SVGs for VideoScribe which we use on this Blog Post
which is link from our Instant Answer called Create you own images.
I can included some other factors to consider when creating SVG's for VideoScribe (Adobe Illustrator based).
1. Ensure you start with a high quality artboard setting. Ensuring the artboard is set to a good quality will mean your resulting images will import at a better quality:
2. Ensure that your Stroke settings are set to px rather than pt, This can be set in the preferences table:
3. Increase the default image quality in VideoScribe:
4. If you are getting the shift, try increasing the stroke width of your image (please see attached example).
5. Try adjusting the zoom and camera position on the image.
I have tried every method explained and it doesn't solve the problem. As a result I've given up trying to create whiteboard videos using only videoscribe.
Instead I just create single scenes and cut them together with after effects and premiere, and do all transitions within those applications. This is a major problem within videoscribe and needs to be fixed.

Hi Chris and Bryan,
With the example SVG I attached do you get the issue when you import it?
the resize doesn't stick. It just draws out the same size as it was on import.
As if I hadn't resized it at all. Any fixes?

Hi!
Several others have posted questions on this topic before, but the answers don't seem to help me. I've created drawings in Illustrator 5.5 with a line thickness of 1 px and on an 1500x1500 px artboard. All paths and nothing grouped. I save the SVG as shown in the attached file. When I import it to Videoscribe, the images are drawn with a thin line which as soon as the drawing is done gets a bit thicker. This looks kind of awful, and I don't know how to get the lines in the drawings to be of consistent thicknes throughout the animation. Please, help me to understand how to get rid of the shift in line thickness.
