64-bit windows or 32-bit windows

I see that there is now a 64-bit windows option for videoscribe (v3.1.1).

Does that mean the old version was 32-bit, right?

So, to update my program, do I run the 64-bit exe now (since my pc is 64-bit)?

If so, should I remove the 32-bit version (v3.1.0-4) first?

Or is it best to stick with the 32-bit installer, since that is what I am running right now.

A little guidance would be appreciated.

thank you

I generally do not upgrade unless I want new features or I am having a problem. New version sometimes have new bugs.

Yes, all Windows versions prior to the 64-bit version of 3.1.1 were 32-bit. You can install the 64-bit version of 3.1.1 over the 32-bit version of 3.1.0-4 without having to remove the old version first.

New versions can contain new bugs but we have made improvements in the latest version. If the worst comes to the worst and there is a big bug that we haven't discovered then you can roll back if needed.
