Rotating elements more easily (also returning to exact default orientation)

QUESTION: How can I rotate objects more easily or return them to the starting orientation if I rotate them accidentally?

ANSWER:

For better control, click the rotation circle, then (continue to hold the mouse button down and) drag your cursor further away from the rotation symbol. The further you move your cursor from the symbol, the more easily you can control the rotation.

As you move further away from the center of the element, you should gain much easier control of the rotation.

If you accidentally rotate an object, look for the "rotate and flip" icon for that object in the timeline at the bottom of the screen.

Clicking it will cycle through about 8 or 10 preset angles including the default orientation for that element.
